Actual Fabric Measurement
While using the centreline length and widest beam is a good starting point for choosing the right cover size, we also recommend cross-checking the actual fabric length and width required to ensure you select the correct fit.

- Fabric Length - Measure along the length of your boat, over the top of any boat fittings e.g. bow rails, handrails, cabin, windscreens etc. to the point on the hull where the cover’s hem will finish.
- Fabric Width - Measure across the widest point of your boat, over the top of any boat fittings e.g. bow rails, handrails, cabin, windscreens etc.to the point on the hull where the cover’s hem will finish.
| Cover Size | Fabric Length | Fabric Width |
| 4.48-4.75m 14.7-15.6ft | 569cm | 346cm |
| 4.79-5.06m 15.7-16.6ft | 592cm | 347cm |
| 5.09-5.36m 16.7-17.6ft | 629cm | 346cm |
| 5.39-5.67m 17.7-18.6ft | 656cm | 364cm |
| 5.70-5.97m 18.7-19.6ft | 694cm | 382cm |
| 6.00-6.30m 19.7-20.6ft | 724cm | 382cm |
| 6.31-6.58m 20.7-21.6ft | 755cm | 382cm |
| 6.61-6.89m 21.7-22.6ft | 789cm | 382cm |
Important care & warranty notes:
Protect sharp and protruding fittings (cleats, anchors, etc.) by adding padding where the cover contacts them; damage from rubbing against sharp or raised hardware is not covered under warranty.
For long‑distance towing, use extra straps (not included) over the top and keep tension even; damage caused by improper or loose strapping during trailering is also not covered under warranty.

FAQ - DuraPoly Boat Covers
What is DuraPoly fabric?
DuraPoly is a 600 denier 100% solution‑dyed Oxford polyester with a PU coating, designed for harsh Australian UV and marine environments. Because the colour is dyed into the fabric, it resists fading far better than standard polyester covers.
Are DuraPoly boat covers waterproof?
Yes. DuraPoly covers have a ≥1500 mm water‑column rating and taped seams, so they shed rain effectively. They are also mildew‑resistant and help keep the interior dry and ventilated.
Are these covers breathable and ventilated?
All DuraPoly boat covers include air vents to let moisture escape from under the cover, reducing condensation, mould, and mildew. This is especially important for boats stored long‑term in humid or coastal conditions.
Do DuraPoly covers protect against UV?
Yes. The fabric is engineered with extra UV inhibitors and has an UPF 50+rating.
This helps protect paint, upholstery, and interior surfaces from sun damage and fading.
How long will a DuraPoly boat cover last?
Most DuraPoly boat covers are designed to last up to around 4 year in typical Australian outdoor storage, depending on exposure, how they’re fitted, and how often they’re used.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your boat’s centreline length (from bow to stern) and beam (width), then select the appropriate size range. For example, a 4.2–4.8 m cover is typically suitable for a 4.6 m runabout boat, but we strongly recommend double‑checking the actual fabric dimensions required— in this case no more than 528 cm in length and 300 cm in width.
Can I tow with a DuraPoly boat cover on?
Yes. DuraPoly boat covers are designed for highway towing when fitted correctly. For long‑distance towing, use extra straps (not included) over the top and keep tension even.
Do DuraPoly boat covers come with a warranty?
Yes. All DuraPoly boat covers include a 2 years manufacturer defect warranty, covering issues like stitching failure or broken straps. The warranty applies only if the cover is used and stored according to instructions (correct size, proper tension, no misuse).
