Warranties
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Most of our goods come with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty against defects. Within 12 months of purchase date, you are entitled to a refund or exchange if an item has a MAJOR problem. This is when the item:
- Has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it.
- Is unsafe.
- Is significantly different from the sample or description.
- Doesn't do what we said it wouldn't or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed.
If the problem is NOT MAJOR, we will repair the item within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in a reasonable time you are entitled to a refund or replacement.
When you are NOT entitled to a refund or exchange
You are not entitled to a refund or exchange if you:
- Changed your mind and no longer want the product
- Ordered the wrong product
- Found the product cheaper elsewhere
- Found a better product elsewhere
- Were aware of the relevant fault before buying the product (such as if the fault was written on the product's tag, or for online purchases, indicated in any photos or descriptions of the item online)
- Damaged the product due to misuse, accident or neglect (such as if the cover is ripped by sharp corner)
- Used the product for a long time and the problem is as a result of usual wear and tear.
Additional Warranty Information for boat covers:
Warranty Coverage
Your boat cover is protected by a 12‑month limited warranty (24 months for Durapoly range covers) from the date of purchase. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and covers defects in:
-
Materials – including the 600D Oxford polyester fabric and waterproof coating
-
Workmanship – such as stitching, seams, and construction flaws
-
Hardware and accessories – including straps, buckles, and tie‑down components that fail under normal use
If a covered issue occurs, we will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or provide replacement parts for the affected area.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
Because boat covers are exposed to outdoor conditions and varying environments, the warranty does not cover damage caused by:
-
Improper installation, incorrect sizing, or failure to secure the cover as instructed
-
Abrasion or friction damage, including tearing caused by contact with sharp edges, cleats, corners, or protruding hardware
-
Environmental exposure, including UV fading, fabric degradation, or damage caused by prolonged sun, wind, rain, or snow
-
Storm‑related or severe weather damage, including tearing caused by high winds or extreme conditions
-
Water pooling, mold, or mildew resulting from storing the cover while damp or allowing standing water to accumulate
-
Accidental damage, including cuts, punctures, burns, or impact damage
-
Use of harsh chemicals, solvents, or cleaners that compromise the fabric or coating
-
Normal wear and tear, including gradual fading, softening, or loss of water repellency over time
-
Alterations or repairs performed by unauthorised parties
No warranty is provided for products used for commercial, rental, or otherwise non‑personal purposes unless explicitly stated in writing.
Limitations
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product or defective parts. It does not cover incidental or consequential losses, including damage to boats, equipment, or personal property.
