What size rope do I need? For best results, use anchor rope at least 5 times the length of your boat.

Will this replace my main anchor? No — a sea anchor (drogue) slows your drift and holds your bow into wind or current, it doesn't hold you in a fixed position on the bottom the way a normal anchor does.
